Discussion: Neolithic infant burial associated with large quantity of textile: all the textile is attributed to the infill u.30503 except for cords S4 (cf. discussion of u.30503). It lays directly above a second child (u.30513). The textile is in between the two bodies (cf. u.30503)

The soft tissues are preserved. Mainly among the abdomen (viscera? S1) but also around the legs (S2) and the left arms (S3). The brain was also conserved in the cranium (S5).

Some cords around the legs were a little bit preserved (s4). They were probably holding the body in its flexed position.

The two greenstone beads X2 and X3 of the infill u.30503 may be associated with this skeleton. Indeed, they were in the two opposite sides of the cranium, symetrical. X3 was even in contact with textile and the cranium (but textile was not observed passing through the hole of the bead during the excavation…). Could these be some kind of earring associated with little infant ? Indeed the same pattern, two greenstone beads in both side of cranium were observed in the other platform od building 52 (f.3695, burial 7120).

The forehead of this skeleton was in direct contact with the forehead of the adult u.30514. A good argument for a single episode burial: one adult with babies on top of its left side. One of the adult's arms seems even to be positioned to hold them.
