Discussion: This unit was very firm on top becoming looser further down. Howwever in an exposed section it was clear that it was the same layer. The layer was separated with the one underneath by a thin ash lens. 

 

Consistency: Firm on top, loose below 

Colour: Grey 

Texture: Silty 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Charcoal, lime, burned clay, ash 

Post-depositional Features: Animal burrows 

Basal Boundary: distinct sloping east, smooth
