Unit description: Very small unit-- 3 bits of 2 cm-long sheep-size scrap. One is burnt brown. Sample 2 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded completely. The amount from this 30 liter sample as compared to what came from the 80 liters of dry sieved sediment suggests that either the sample is not representative of the unit as a whole, or there are some real problems with the screening. This is a moderate-size sample with a range of fragment sizes from tiny to one big piece of large mammal long bone shaft. Some fish. Most are rather weathered and look kicked around. Some burning, a little digestion. No coherence. Looks like fill ultimately derived from midden material, for the most part.
