Discussion: This layer was found in 2013 but removed in 2014. The layer is bordered by a bench in the north, a hearth on the west and brown, but dark, layer in the south. The layer is cut in east by a post retrieval pit (u19839).
It is maybe a floor or a make up for a plastered floor and could explain the presence of plaster. I found few (less than 10 very small fragments) red painted plaster.
The layer was excavated with trowels. 

Consistency: Soft friable 

Colour: Light brown 

Texture: sandy clay 

Bedding: layered, fine white layer maybe plaster 

Inclusions: Charcoal : fleck; Plaster: small; Red painted plaster: flecks 

Post-depositional Features: - 

Basal Boundary: Sharp
