Unit 30968
Category: Layer dug in 2014
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: Plaster
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: white clay
Discussion: This unit is situated is the southeast corner of the building. The plaster layer covered a portion of the hearth's rim on the eastern side. This layer extended from southern wall to the bench in attached patches, although the largest patches were against the southern wall and over the hearth. I hypothesize that the plaster layer would continue south if we could get there. The plaster was thicker in the south and west and less thick and more mixed in with a grey layer in the north and east. While the basal boundary of this layer was clear, it was difficult to locate all the little patches of this unit and which ones were from another plaster layer under the grey brown layer we have now uncovered.
