Discussion: The is situated in the south part of the building. It is close to the hearth. It is still at the juction between the central floor of the building and the dirty floor but it is a part of the dirty floor. The layer is not very large and seems to be very local. The unit is similar in composition and color to the rims we found in the hearth, but it differs from them only for the shape. It is more likely that this unit is not as proper rim, but a patch aimed to renforce the north-western corner of the hearth, where underneath we didn't found a rim, but a burned layer (u.30996). The layer was excavated by trowel.
