Discussion: Because of the lumpy nature of this discreet area of infill and what appeared take a higher concentration of grey brick aggregate, this was allocated a unit number. However after excavation no edges were apparent, what had appeared edge like were root cuts, it soon became clear that this was pretty much the same deposit as 2844. 

Recognition: slightly more lumpy in texture with more fragments of grey brick aggregates 

Definition: unclear boundaries 

Execution: trowelled from edge of burial 277 in the hope of defining an edge 

Condition: dry 

Consistency: moderately firm 

Colour: mid-grey brown 

Texture: silty clay 40:60 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: moderately small-medium grey brick aggregates, occasional flecks of charcoal 

Post-depositional Features: root activity, occasional 

Basal Boundary: unclear
