Unit 31180
Category: Layer dug in 2013
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: plaster with mudbrick consistency, room fill
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This unit was recongnized because of its different colour and consistence. It seems to be a fill layer between plasters 31142 and 31182. Maybe it is room fill between the use of two floors that sunk in afterwards. It is arbitrary limited to the north by the west-east section. It might be the same layer as 31175 but there is no connection left to proove it. To the south it is limeted by the underlying (floor) -plaster sticking out. To the west, it slops ca 5 cm before the "hill".
This layer is the top one of a structure of half-concentric plaster /fill layers that are sloping down towards a point in the center of the surface. It has a half-pear shape that is porbably symetric on the other side of the section. How it all would collapse without breaking is still to be cleared.
See also 31142 and 31174 for general context.
