Description: Compound layered fill in S part of F7771
Discussion: Compounded infill layer in S part of foundation trench for wall F2183. Consists of U22252 and U22260, but was excavated separately since it at a start was thought to be part of the oven F2195. As the oven later was proven to have been cut to make a foundation trench, long after the excavation of U22252 and U22260, the infill was taken out. As a separate unit, because we were still not completely sure if parts of it could belong to a possible oven infill.
Consistency: Friable to firm
Colour: Grey and yellow
Texture: Clayie silt
Bedding: Compound layered
Inclusions: Ash, charcoal, burnt plaster, carbonites
Post-depositional Features: Animal burrows
Basal Boundary: Anthropogenic, gradual, faint to distinct, wavy, inclined from west to east an north to south.
