Unit 32081
Category: Layer dug in 2016
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: floor (use)
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: raised area (platform); Material: dark grey clay; Deposition: multiple; Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: A surfaces of use which was immersed within ‘make-up-like’ layer on the southern extension of NW-platform (F.7733) had been recorded under single unit no. 32081. The deposit sat on badly preserved patchy white plaster. Its characteristic shares close resemblances to a dirty floor (?). The latter implies intensive use of the raised area in the Western part of Sp.531. Unfortunately, the actual nature of the past doings might be difficult to examine due to extensive truncation, related with Post-retrieval pit (F.7873) placed to the West.
From stratygraphical point of view the unit 32081 can be related with others explored layers within the interior (which can be enumerated here as follow: 32075, 32080, 32076).
Consistency: friable
Colour: mid-brown, grey
Texture: silty-clay
Bedding: compound
Inclusions:
Post-depositional Features: truncation to the west related with post-retrievalpit F.7873, and intensive traces of wear of use
