Discussion: Flexed burial of a premature baby in a basket, no evidence of a lid to the basket was identified during excavation or conservation. The burial was block cut and micro-excavated in the lab. No evident skeletal pathology was observed. Skeletal and dental development is consistent with 22-24 weeks gestation. This gestation age is too young to be viable at birth. The burial was revealed and consolidated in situ within the block and basket for removal to the Konya Archaeological Museum.
