Interpretive Categories: earlier base of the oven
Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: oven; Material: baked; Deposition: single
Discussion: U.32754 is the earliest base and make-up of the oven F.7732. This unit is revealed after the excavation of U.32010 make up layer and the clay ball cluster U.32745 situated within the make-up of U.32010. The base of the unit was thinner compared to latest one and the make-up layer of the unit is taken as a flotation sample with number S3. Excavation of this unit uncovered the late construction base U.32755 of the feature. There were clay balls on the northern edge of the unit however the excavation revealed that the clay balls were the sloping ones from the later make-up U.32010 of the oven. While excavating the unit, under the part clay balls situated, floor layers U.32757 (same as U.32707) is found so it was certain that the clay balls and the light brown sediment were part of the later make up and cluster.
