Dimensions: 0.55 m approx. N-S; 0.45 m approx. E-W, 0.23 m thick 

Discussion: In appearance very similar to the backfill of oven F.87. Already, partially excavated in 1997 season as (?) on W side of oven, although not at the back/south. Like (2852) in F.87 (3336) seems to be deliberate backfill, completely filling the oven and packed up to the roof of the oven (to the S. and below the wall). 

Recognition: Recognised on removal of innner lining oven (3334), colour light grey and texture appear like that of the backfill of oven F.87. 

Definition: Clear. 

Execution: Mattock/trowel, 1/2 sectioned initially. 

Condition: Dry. 

Consistency: firm to friable 

Colour: 10 YR 5/4 yellowish brown (dry) 

Texture: clayey silt 

Bedding: very occasional >29%) charcoal flecks, (c.29%) sandy silt orange flecks, small frags. 

Inclusions: massive 

Post-depositional Features: n/a 

Basal Boundary: very sharp/prominent/smooth/flat
