Discussion: This unit consisted of the chunks of clay (orangey brown) and some crumbly dark grey material on top of the platform. The platform surface was quite easy to recognize - following it down and peeling back to expose a dark, almost black, very thin greasy layer on top of the plastered surface. I tried to stop at this black, greasy layer, leaving the plaster covered. At one point, a chunk of clay with ashy lenses appeared (star in drawing) making us think momentarily that we had gone through platform surface layers, but as this soon appeared to be only a small chunk, and the ashy lenses couldn't be found elsewhere, we decided it was an independant chunk (~5 x 10 cm) lying on top of the platform that we were presently following.
