Discussion: Small remnant of floors, probably should have been excavated with floors already excavated in this space. 

Recognition: Recognised as small remnant of floor(s) when cleaning space with Wendy. Probably should have been removed with floor(s) previously excavated. 

Definition: Clear defined by wall to N and baulk to E. 

Execution: Trowel. 

Condition: Dry to slightly moist. Surface; smooth/flat. 

Consistency: friable 

Colour: 10 YR 4/3 brown (slightly moist) predominant colour 

Texture: silty clay 

Bedding: compound layered; A) up to 5 mm thick plaster 10 YR 5/4 yellowish brown (slightly moist)/B) up to 10 mm thick 10 YR 4/3 brown/C) up to 10 mm 10 YR 5/4 yellowish brown (slightly moist) (much better colour match than A)/D) up to 2 mm thick dark brown (not enough to Munsell) 

Inclusions: occ. >2% charcoal flecks; occ. shell 

Post-depositional Features: 10% salt flecks at basal boundary 

Basal Boundary: abrupt/distinct/smooth/inclined to N
