Finds Room Information:
All material from site passes through the finds room for washing and separating before it is passed onto the various lab teams. The finds room keeps a basic inventory of what is found. A finds material type list is given here. Further analytical detail maybe provided by the Lab Team data below.

Unit description: F1 and F2 are fragments of bone points. A little bit recorded for Bayliss radiocarbon study.
Tier 1 Recording (JW: 20-7-2015): relatively large midden unit, predominantly sheep/goat material. Sheep/goat is primarily composed to long bone shaft fragments (old breaks), suggesting processing waste, probably mid-sequence of butchery (neither primary butchery - carpals/tarsals and phalanges aren't over-represented - nor final consumption waste - vertebrae and ribs are relatively underrepresented). Cranial and some axial material are present, though. No obvious signs of dismemberment/CMs on the material, though lots of fresh/spiral breaks on shafts.
Pig, dog, and equid present (mainly teeth, phalanges). Cattle bones present - some limb bone fragments, pelvis, teeth, phalanges, and some rib fragments. Some 002-sized ribs as well, possibly late inclusions? Large rodent maxilla found that is probably intrusive.
Overall, looks like fairly typical midden fair. Fragments are largely broken open for marrow and/or faced dry breaks from trampling/post-depositional movement. Looks like it is fairly cohesive and a primary midden (that is, a secondary deposit). Material is somewhat mixed, but most of the material does not look too bashed around (fragment lengths are relatively long, material does not look too variable in its post-depositional treatment). Several fetal sheep remains also present.Figurine Records: Yes
