Description: Dry and eroded wall (south end) removed as single unit and not sieved. Descriptions below under layer have three sections: brick, mortar A and mortar B. 

Discussion: Eastern wall of Buiding 2 generally composed of greyish brick and white plastery mortar. 

Consistency: Brick: firm (crumbly where weathered)/ Mortar A: as brick / Mortar B: as brick 

Colour: Brick: greyish brown/ Mortar A: White / Mortar B: mottled greyish brown/ yellowish brown 

Texture: Brick: silty clay/ Mortar A: Silty clay loam / Mortar B: silty clay loam 

Bedding: Brick: massive (but bricks and mortar stratified in 7 courses of bricks)/ Mortar A: Massive / Mortar B: massive 

Inclusions: Brick: not evident/ Mortar A: <2% flecks/ small frags charcoal-one piece of shell visible in face / Mortar B: c2% charcoal flecks, c10-20% orange bricky fragments, c10-20% white plaster as mortar A 

Post-depositional Features: Brick: roots and animal burrows present/ Mortar A: As brick / Mortar B
