Discussion: This is a kind of scorched clay packing underneath last oven/ or earliest oven/ in the southwest corner. It is compacted. Possible preparation for the ground or base for the fire installation. It was creamish pink coloured, mainly pure clay texture.

Definition: By the burnt area 

Execution: By pick axe 

Condition: Damp/ clayey silt 

Consistency: Moderately compact but friable 

Colour: Pinkish creamy dolour 

Texture: Clay to silty clayey but clay character is dense

Inclusions: Clay, very small amounts siltand small amount of charcaol
