Definition: slightly more mudbricky and ashy from lenses above

Condition: very sunny, occ. Wind
Consistency: compact and greasy-lenses, stick together.
Colour: Heterogenous - varies in the specific (?) from greyish black to a more buff-orange color with frequent plaster specks
Texture: Very greasy, gives laminated layer look. Clayish silt over 50% clay, 40% silt, rest plaster and charcoal fragments/flecks
Bedding: layered
Inclusions: animal b one again is the most frequent althought no evidence of articulated pieces. More frequent obisidian than in later (upper) layers. Some pottery but late.
Post-depositional Features: None obvious
Basal Boundary: Arbitrary (?) to next spit. This spit relates to a small number of midden tipping episodes which in the main would appear to have been tipped from the west and they slope down to the east. They include ashey lenses, black charcoal cleanout of oven and also garbage relating to renovation/upkeep and buildings.
