Unit 6265
Category: layer dug in 2000
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: fire installation
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: Fire installation on top of feature 169 (platform) yellow to brownish yellow, fairly compact and bricky patch was on top of dark brown ring with slim ash line on contact. Inclusions were mainly of yellow aggregates, thus colour goes to yellow ( 10 YR 7/8) lower down. Beneath was a patch of white ash with some charcoal inclusions. Contact between the two was fairly sharp, and possibly a result of packing of depression of fire installation (feature 630) whose ashy layer is directly beneath this unit.
