Floors 5-10 attempted clearance. Only small patch of floor tried. Unit temporarily abandoned.
13/08/00:
the northern half of this unit has a very thick ( 6 cm) layer of packing below floors 5-10 that seems to gradually get thicker from east to west- up to the screen wall. In the NE corner a thin layer of seemingly carbonised deposits was scraped off the underlying floor and taken as a special priority, sample s8 for flotation.
