The samples were taken on the basis of colour. This unit represents floors south of the hearth, but differently burnt and that is why it was decided to take samples.
After removing one layer at some places it could not be separarted. Only one floor south of the hearth appeared to be a cut of some sort ( to be seen in the course of the excavation).
