Unit 6523
Category: layer dug in 2000
Area: Trench I
Interpretive Categories: Room fill
Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: homogeneous
Dimensions: 1.76m EW x 1.42m NS
Description: Upper room fill after definition (rough) of walls
Discussion: Upper fill of Space 190 after definition of walls below ploughsoil. Very soft and loose material. Noticeable that there were large pot sherds in the upper part and small ones lower down. It came down onto a lumpy, rubble-type deposit, sloping unevenly north to south.
17/8 - wall F715 was defined originally when I started here, there seemed to be something bricky at the east end of the grave cut, which was thought to be fill, but I realised was brick and thought could be a buttress, but then turned out to be a W-E wall running across the north end of Space 190 and 191 - NSH.
