Unit 7028
Category: layer dug in 2002
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: Arbitrary defined layer
Data Category Information: Description: fire spots (non-structured); Deposition: heterogeneous
Dimensions: 3,40 x 2,20 x 0,20
Discussion: This is a multicolor layer that must have definitely originated due to the activity of fire. It encompasses a space limited by three walls and W boundary of the trench. The W part is destroyed (cut) by later pits: 7025 and 7109.
The proportion of black and lighter flecks changed during exploration and as the boundary between them started to be more clear, the unit was divided into 2 separate units.
Recognition: arbitrarily defined layer situated below 7011
Definition: boundaries determined by walls: 7034, 7124, 7117 and cuts 7025, 7109
Execution: trowel
Condition: hot, dry
Consistency: from soft, friable to loose
Colour: multicolor: from white and light pinky to black
Texture: silt loam, ash
Bedding: layered: lenses of different sediments: ash and burnt soil
Inclusions: artefactual and flecks of charcoal
Post-depositional Features: animal burrowings
Basal Boundary: arbitrary
