Discussion: This is E part of a large storage pit, the remaining part of which is placed outside the excavated area. It is older than the late Hellenistic/early Roman layer, which is indicated by its presence below a burnt layer defining the end of this phase of occupation. 

Recognition: consistency and color - looser and darker than around 

Definition: S part of a large pit

Consistency: from soft to firm 

Colour: mid brown / dark grey / dark brown 

Texture: silty loam, silty clay, ash 

Bedding: layered: tiny lenses of different deposits
