Unit 7691
Category: layer dug in 2003
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: pit infill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit; Deposition: heterogeneous
Dimensions: 1.36 x 1.20 x 0,23
Discussion: The unit 7691 is situated next to the SW corner of the trench. It was difficult to excavate because it was composed of many lumps and lenses of extremely compact clay. The basal boundary of the unit is arbitrary but it consists of many clay structures which may be CBM (damaged bricks?) and it is irregular. In NW part of the unit a small amount of burnt soil has been noticed and a metal object (a ring?) nearby. The unit has slightly changed its boundaries during excavation (which is visible when comparing plans 03/125 and 03/123) but its boundaries have been clearly seen all the time. The coordinates of x2 are not precise.
This feature was transferred to Space 598 in 2015.
