Unit 8544
Category: layer dug in 2002
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: floor #14
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: This unit comprises poorly preseved remains of floor #14 in the kitchen. It consisted of gray layer of floor with plenty of salts, gypsym and patches of plaster, and reddish-brown thin packing underneath. At many places it is broken and heavily damaged, mixed with middeny material. East of F.778 and north of it sort of make up was excavated, discovered before, because it looked as a fill of the cut (see unit 8548) but there it came out to be a mixture of different types of clay (red, black, white, burnt, scorched, etc.) put there to stabilize kitchen floors and features.
After this floor was removed, last floor (#15) in the kitchen was exposed at the entire surface.
