Discussion: AFTER REMOVING LAST FLOOR #15, IN THE KITCHEN, WE STARTED REMOVING PACKING AROUND F.1010 WHICH WAS NOT PART OF THE FLOOR OF THE REST OF THE KITCHEN. FIRST WE REMOVED PARTS OF SANDY BROWN PACKING AROUND THE OBSIDIAN CACHE (F. 799) AND IT BECAME OBVIOUS THAT THIS LAYER (THIS KIND OF SOIL) IS ACTUALLY PART OF THE STEP, SINCE THE SAME MATERIAL STRACTHES BELOW ALL THE OTHER LAYERS OF THE STEP, IT IS IT/S BASE, AND IT LIES DIRECTLY ABOVE MIDDEN. IT IS VERY STRONG AND SOLID. FLOTATION SAMPLE 2 COMPISES THIS LAYER. AFTERWARDS, WE REMOVED PARTS OF SOME KIND OF WHITE PACKING (PLASTERY) WHICH WAS APPLIED TO THE WEST FACE OF THE STEP, AND IT IS ALMOST THE SAME AS PACKING WHICH REPRESENTS NORTHERN (LATER) HALF OF ADJACENTF. 792 (BENCH). AT THE SAME TIME WESTERN PORTION OF RED BRICKY PACKING AROUND THE CUT F. 751 (PART OF LATER POSTHOLE) WAS REMOVED. THIS SOIL AND THE WHITE PACKING WERE BAGED AS FLOTATION SAMPLE #3 IT S NOW POSSIBLE TO SEE THE WAY THEY CONSTRUCTED THIS STEP. AFTER PLACEING THICK SANDY LAYER (ALMOST 10 CM THICK) ON THE MIDDEN SURFACE, THEY COVERED IT WITH DIFFERENT CLAYEY PACKINGS (WHICH WERE ALSO PUT AROUND THE LADDER POSTHOLES) AND THEN WIT WHITE PLASTER.
