Discussion: Complicted stratigraphic situation between upper part of the roof (7866) and mudbrick wall placed against W edge of the main trench made us to define arbitrary and left a narrow strip crossing diagonally placed layers, probably associated with the roof (units 7840, 7841, 7842, 7843, 7844) and the wall (unit 7839). Consequantly, due to arbitrary nature of this unit, no samples has been taken.

Cleaning of what remains on site from the "South section" (see plan 04/847), created after the excavation of units (8932), (10943), (10944), (10951), (10967). It cuts through the so called "roof sequence", constituted by eastwards sloping midden-like deposits under a compact layer 27 cm thick (called "roof").
The purpose of this was a close examination of the section, from which micromorphological samples have been taken in 2004, and further spot sampling of the deposits for XRF analysis and possibly particle size analysis, in order to integrate these results with those of the thin section analysis, as part of my MSc dissertation project: "A geoarchaeological study of midden deposits from Catalhoyuk and Pinarbasi B, Central Turkey", at the University of Reading, UK.
10 loose sediment samples have been taken for that reason.
