Unit 8986
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: floor
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: occupation; Deposition: multiple
Discussion: It is a layer of floor situated in N part of an extension. The floor was placed between 3 sides of walls and from the South was cut by a large pit (infill 7825) oriented E-W. The floor on its W edge was bacing against stony layer 10956 which was forming a basement for walls 6952 and 8987 ( these are described as 'same as') between which there was a small layer 8945. These stones placed under the walls and layer 8955 were 'in situ' but there were also 3 big stones lying on the floor 8986 which were probably moved there ( there are traces of cuting on these stones). Over those 3 stones and a mating was placed (8984) consisting of many tiny layers and one well preserved. This mating was also backing against the walls 6952 and 8987 as well as the wall 7830 from south side.
