Location: East Mound. 1960s spoil heap along western edge of mound
The REC Area, short for 'Recycle' and named in 2005 was previously recorded as the 'Temper Area' (2003 - 4). The trench is located over the northern end of the 1960s spoilheap that runs along the western edge of the East mound. The area is excavated by children on the Summer School Project introduced in 2003 and continues seasonallyOn a seasonal basis children excavate the spoil heap and sieve the soil for material that was not collected in the 1960s.
History: Work continues on a seasonal basis.
