The part of foundations of the B113 within the section of this building was excavated in 2014, new space number (527) was allocated since partition wall (F3676) did not have foundation wall and the whole foundations were all together filled with infill. Studying of the section of the building revealed previous occupation phase (midden like layers belonging to earlier space 532) that was cut and disturbed by B113. Unearthing the S wall of B114 (N from B113) revealed plaster on its S face and possible sealed crawl hole indicating possibility of another space of B114 S from space 87that was dismantled by erection of B113 (making it later than at least some phases of B114). The excavation of B77 revealed the W face of its W walls and heavy burning turned the bricks of F3648 black from reom the side of B77 which points (contrary to what was previously believed) that the building 113 was there when burning of B77 happened.

BT 2016
Building 113 was uncovered and partially excavated during the 2012 and 2014 field seasons. It is comprised of two spaces, main room space 96 and side room space 95. Trapezoid in plan, it measures 7.75m in length, 4.40m in width by its southern end and 6.5m in width by its northern end. In 2012, the building was cross-sectioned along a north-south axis and most of the deposits that remained in the eastern half of the building were excavated. In 2014, focus of excavation was given to the construction of the building, which showed that it was built on a very deep foundation.

The building is currently assigned to level 4040.G. It was built after B.114, and is thought to have been destroyed by the conflagration that took place in B.77. Even though the building had the deepest foundations recorded up to this day at Catalhoyuk, it was likely a short-lived building evidenced through a very shallow occupation sequence that did not reveal any skeletons.
