| Entry: | By the end of today Mira and I were a bit discouraged and depressed that perhaps we were actually excavating below the floor which had already been eroded. Shahina suggested a little mini-sondage. So we took her advice and dug a 10 x 10 cm sondage against the east wall plaster of space 86 at the bottom of unit 2200 to see how deep the fill went. The plaster continued clearly down another 10 cm, so we can use this as the basis for our next (2nd) arbitrary level.Entered By: Ruth Tringham |
