Entry: Been out doing the foundation trenches for a few days. Mainly in Trench 6 which had to be extended to the west to incorporate the extent of a tile-lined late grave (F.2801). The grave contained a glass vile (15020x1) lying across the torso area. This grave has now been finished and the stratigraphy in the cut shows a N-S and a E-W mudbrick wall. As I still have some 0.80 to go down in the southern part of the trench that had not been truncated by the lat burial, finishing the foundation trench is not simple although at least no floors are visible in the section of the cut (but still have 0.20m of strat not visible in the section). I suspect that the foundation trenches are going to take a bit longer than we originally though especially since the eastern row of trenches appears to truncate whole row of the late burials.Entered By: LY
