Removed floor [2865] up to section line. Planned and excavated ashy deposit [2891] up to section line. Excavated part of layer beneath [2891] - but realised that stratigraphically under some other apparent floor layer(s), that could see in section and at least one edge in plan - so stopped at this point. Will try and define floor layers in plan and excavate - leaving half of oven F.87 with some floor layers beneath so that WM can sample through possibly. Cleared flour-sacks out of trench and started cleaning. Helping TC to excavate layer NW part of space 151 and to clean SW corner- he located burial here-baby?Entered By: Richard Turnbull |
