| Entry: | Another fun day in the North Area. As the infilling is now below the level of the walls I have tried to split the team up by space with an experienced person in each one. Effectively this means Adnan in 155, Åsa in 156, Mark in 157 and me in 154 with Sharon and Serdar in 154. This is largely because 154 is the only space where it is practical to have more than one person. Hopefully all the spaces will go downwards in glorious unison and we will all arrive at the floors at the same time. This is about as likely as pigs flying [in Turkey]. About ½ an hour after I came up with this division of labour Shahina said she wanted to take someone away from me! Hopefully by in effect delegating responsibility for the smaller spaces I will not have to tell people what to do so much and they can have a bit more freedom, within the constraints allowed by our glorious methodology, which will make me feel more comfortable.
Yet more meetings on the Methodology volume, I don’t get the feeling that any real progress is being made and the discussions are really failing to engage me, perhaps this is just a personal failing of mine as I often feel like a bit of an imposter here. I just want to come and do some interesting archaeology and a lot of the other stuff is irrelevant as far as I am concerned and leaves me cold.Entered By: Craig Cessford |
