| Entry: | Due to the holiday this is the effective end of week four which was only four days long. Åsa was ill so the only thing that happened in Space 156 was that Sharon cleaned the walls. In Space 157 Mark contined removing infilling and exposing more of the bins which seem to continue to grow in number. In Space 155 Adnan and Serdar went down a bit but it became clear that the northern end is very different with what appears to be a complex looking partially collapsed feature. In Space 154 I tidied up and took a lot of photographs. There is now clearly a fire installation at the southern wall 224 which looks like it extends backwards into the ‘niche’. I will do a new base plan, clean the one bit of wall remaining and then probably begin to remove more infilling but more carefully especially where we appear to be close to floors.
The break should hopefully work out to our advantage as Frank says he will treat all the cracks in the walls while we are not on site.
Ian suggested today that we shouild be aiming to complete all the floors in Building 5 this season as they will deteriorate if left. I certainly agree that this is the ideal solution that we should aim for but I have severe doubts that it can be achieved in the time remaining. One suggestion is that we leave elevation drawing till next year, I’m not keen on this and anyway we can hopefully do some of the drawing in the evening when we can’t dig.Entered By: Craig Cessford |
