| Entry: | Today Jana and I made more corrections on our drawing of the wall section. Hopefully this will better reflect what we see in that area, and then as more gets excavated, the situation will become more clarified. Unfortunately, Peter has been sick today, so we didn't get to continue our discussion of the area with him. I'm hoping he feels better tomorrow, since that will bring in another new perspective about the situation.
After we made the corrections, we started in on taking out the disturbance that was cutting into spaces 340 and 341. We assigned this unit number 16861. After digging on the northern section of this unit, we eventually ran into some orange mudbrick and a grave cut, so we've got another grave for the Selcuk team to excavate. As soon as we have that area cleaned up and exposed, that part will be assigned another unit number. Fortunately this doesn't really stop us from cleaning in space 340, so we aren't in the situation we were in the other day with not being able to continue work in those areas. |
