Excavation Diary Entry

Name: TEB
Team:
Date: 8/3/2008
Entry: Third attempt to write a diary. Lets hope its my last. In short - room fill 16896 with Dan and Monique. Discovered cluster, unit 16899, a number of broken ceramic sherds running into the western profile and apparently laying on a burnt deposit. This cluster is located next to the western buttress.

All buttresses were given feature numbers and unit numbers today. F 5061 is the northern buttress (17201 and 17202). F. 5062 is the western buttress (17203 and 17204) and the eastern buttress F. 5063 (17205 and 17206). Each feature was assigned two units, one for the mudbrick and one for the plaster. No mortar has yet been identified or recognised in these features, hence why no 'mortar' unit has been assigned. They remain unexcavated, but are in the process of being exposed.

Progress going well.
