Archaeology today was impressive. Just towards the end of the day JMR in room fill 16880 (space 340). DEL continued to go down in space 342 taking out 16896 - 57 buckets! Sieving with Ishmael has made a real difference, but there is still a queue of buckets that can occasionally create hold-ups.
I sat on my lovely wooden chair, once again, overlooking the trench dynamics and enjoying the unveiling of new finds and new features. Worked on the paperwork for out buttresses in space 342, F.5061, F5062 and F.5063. We had to remove the 'plaster' units from the feature sheets and unit list as it appeared that they were all covered by the same unit - 17201 plaster. This plaster unit also covered wall features 2424 and 5051.
Looking forward to the exposure of surfaces in our spaces so we can really see the nature of their real extent. |
