Excavation Diary Entry

Entry: 20/08/2009

The pair of horn cores, found under the plastered area in the south-east of unit 18341 (and mentioned yesterday), did not turn out to be attached to a full skull but merely to a piece of the top of one. Several other artefacts were found in the same area and were assigned to a new cluster (unit 1834?), but no feature was identified and the artefacts appeared to be floating in room fill (rather than existing directly upon any surface).

Investigation of the ashy lens (towards the west of unit 18341) described previously has not yet been taken further.
