Took photographs of oven half-sectioned with [2870] at W. end already removed. Excavated remainder of [2843] and [2860] and finished plans. Removed rest of fill [2865] - (sketch plan) and removed collapse [2864]. Took archaeomagnetic samples from oven floor [2865] - using magnetic compass for orientation but probably no good for intensity. Took 9 samples altogether. Finished plan and removed rest of [2865] also [2870]. Clear that oven cut into wall.Entered By: Richard Turnbull |
