JFB finished documenting and taking out burial F.3317 and moved over to the next one, F.3318. Sor far, the upper body of 3318 is exposed and turned out to be very well preserved. It might be possible that the lower body is not preserved, but this will be clearer when excavating the burial further.

EMM finished the unit (15152) of fill in space 341 she had been excavating. Two larger pieces of red painted plaster appeared, lying vertical, one of them very close to buttress F.5054, but not bound to it. LKH finished unit 15144 in Space 340, which also contained pieces of red painted plaster, but smaller and more numerous than in Space 341. It is interesting that these pieces of plaster are present in both spaces at roughly the same level, maybe representing a backfilling event or disposal of remains from building, repairing or demolishing a house elsewhere.

BOD and XHB continued scraping the northeast corner of the trench. After watering the surface, it became clearer that buttress F.5052 is longer and thinner than thought beforehand. The piece of mudbrick found by LKHsouth of the supposed limit of the buttress thus still belongs with it, while ist eastern limit is probably further to the west than thought beforehand. Further east, several patches of mudbrick surrounded by plaster appeared, at the moment not forming clear structured. We will have to do further scraping to the east and south in order to clarify the situation.
