| Entry: | Continuing excavating Unit 15160, it turned out that this dumping spot is bigger than I expected. In the S-W-area the situation is clear, and in trhe eastern part the roomfill seems to extend till Feature 3324, respecting its outline . The roomfill/ dumping spot seems to extend and connect into the yet undefined space between feature 5053/5054 and feature 3326 (unit 15158), there are also pottery clusters, that partly seem to fit to the sherds in my unit. Some of them are sticking vertically in the ground. Still unclear to me is the situation in the S-E-corner, I can`t find the outline, probably because the soil there is so dry, hard and trampled that I cannot see anything, and it is also really hard to move the soil thewre at all. I could imagine that the dumping spot respects hte walls of feature 5067, because that`s what it does in the western part. But where is the outline in between this feature and the wall LKH defined today? I have to find out tomorrow, I`m already taking to much rtime to excavate this unit. |
