Excavation Diary Entry

Entry: I spent the day in space 447 teasing out the limits of the plaster floor (Unit 15167) and its interfaces with the suspected southern buttress (F.3349). The process is tedious but rewarding. The eastern wall F.3323 is becoming all the clearer in the plan after additional cleaning. It appears that perhaps the stone mortar sitting atop of cluster F.3325 may not be part of the possible installation. There are potsherds and some bone fragments upon which the stone is resting. The plaster of the buttress F.3349 does seem to be encompassing the possible installation, but this could also only be the beginning of an interface with the floor.
