Entry: Continuing digging Unit 15180 in space 449, the day turned out to be (again) full of wonderfull finds. Roughly in the centre of the room was a bone needle located (found by Numan, who is very proud of his extraordinary find), beautifully polished and decorated with a little dog (?) on top, and again several bone tools turned up. I took out a pottery cluster, that already stuck out in unit 15160, but as its sherds are reaching deeply into the rommfill 15180, I decided to take coordinates for them and asign them to unit 15180. At the eastern wall (ft. 3324) I found some painted plaster in the souhern part, as well as some collapsed floor (?) in northern direction. The eastern part of the unit contains a lot of wallplaster, looking very much like what we saw in the experimental houses at asikli höyük, some of those parts are burned. I sampled them under s-3. So it looks like we have a collapsed wall in the eastern part of the roomfill. Interesting to note is also the constant appearance of clay balls in this unit (1 bigger, and 3 smaller ones so far, all located in the eastern part of the roomfill, where also the collapsed wall lies), connecting my space somehow to unit 15177, containing several clayballs as well. The most exciting find of the day is the big red deer antller, located right in front of feature 3326, as well as a horn core of a goat, lying next to it. In the roomfill of the the eastern part of the unit was another horn located, maybe it belongs to the horn core of the goat? It is still unclear, whether the antler respects the outline of the buttress or cuts into it.
