Excavated continuation of layer [ 3710 ] to west: [ 3717 ]. Lapping over plaster floor at boundary of space - now appear to be down to relatively uniform dark grey layer throughout space - infill?. Moved back into space 151 - cleaned. Planned/excavated [ 3721 ] - small patch of material that initially thought to be associated with a hearth but turned out to be the fill of a small oval pit [ 3723 ]. Part of [ 3721 ] and [ 3723 ] left in because of baulk. Excavated small part of [ 3396 ] that had been left to the west of baulk. Planned small floor? layer at west end of the ‘dirty’ area of space 151 - [ 3726 ] - that also appears to lap over the plaster of the ‘clean‘ area to west. Excavated that.
