| Entry: | Having found a potential floor (U.16932) yesterday, I spent much of the day today following that surface, slowly chipping away and peeling off the fill (U.16933) above. It was slow work and I feel like I've made very little progress. However, the surface appears to be continuing across the entire pit base, and I am uncertain about whether this is actually a floor. The colour and material appears to change and much of it looks more like a trampled layer of soil. Tomorrow I might be able to finish off getting rid of the fill and maybe that will help to clear up what this surface is. |
