Entry: After consultation and taking into consideration prospective areas to excavate on 3rd of july, it has been decided that work should be concentrate particularly on the west face of wall aligned from the top to B.97. The above idea was supported by priority of exploring the space 470 (left by Mellaart as unnamed room considered to be ante-chamber of famous Shrine 8). The assumed activity aimed to clarify stratygraphic relations between sequence and structures recorded in 1960’s and those found during current project. During the exploration two deposits 19388 and 19389 were evidenced and executed. Both were left arbitrary by Mell. veiling actual West face of walls. The latter were put one on top of the other and they represent the sequence of several settlement levels (from VI– VII).
Analyzing the section it seems that upper part of the uncovered wall might be associated with Level VI. And the mentioned fragment of floor [19388] indicated this settlement horizon. Just below the floor there is a sort of preparation layer that might preceded erection of wall F.3701. lowest part of the uncovered section due to different kind of bricks (upon: consistency, colour, texture) might be associated with level VII (using Mellaart stratygraphy). There was not any floor found yet that might have been associated with mentioned occupational level . However, plastered corners evidenced in the section and associated walls give us a prospect that in future we will have opportunity to step on the white floor of space 470, for the first time since the building was abandoned.
