| Entry: | Today (5th of July) we have continued the excavation of U.19390 that most likely must be considered as the room fill dumped deliberately inside an open area between four walls that had been evidenced as space 470. Today execution revealed more plasters set on all walls constituting the structure. Due to firm and compact consistency of the layer comprised mainly of mortars and bricks we had to use mattocks and shovel to explore the deposit. Its accumulation is completely different than middens placed within surrounding structures. After cleaning the surface on Saturday we will decide whether we have already reached different kind of deposit in term of nature, consistency and texture. |
